Nolanville Camp Meeting

T. J. Ruble, Temple, Texas

NOLANVILLE — The 68th annual Church of Christ encampment at Nolanville is scheduled for August 5-14. Vaughn Crumley of Sulphur, Oklahoma will be the evangelist and Palmer Wheeler of Jackson, Mississippi the song director and singing instructor.

T. J. Ruble, minister of the Central Church of Christ, Temple, will be program director. A well-rounded educational program has been arranged with daily classes in Bible and singing. Visiting ministers from the area will be the speakers at the mid-morning worship services.

The daily schedule calls for devotional services at 6:30 a.m., Bible classes from 9 to 10 and preaching by area ministers from 10 to 11 a.m. Instruction in singing will be given from 3 to 4 p.m., with a period of supervised recreation to follow. Evening services will be held at 8 o'clock daily by Mr. Crumley.

The teaching staff for the Bible school will include experienced and trained teachers from Belton, Killeen and Temple Churches of Christ. Jeff Lucas, leader in the Nolanville Church of Christ, is handling facility arrangements for the big encampment.

The historic camp grounds provide plenty of tree-shaded space for permanent cabins or temporary campsites. There are daily deliveries of groceries, ice and laundry.

Sanitary rest rooms and showers have been provided and electricity and running water are available to cabins and campsites. The Nolanville Church of Christ, host for the traditional encampment, urges the hundreds of visitors from near and far points of Texas and from other states to build permanent cabins on the camp grounds. The space is free of charge.
