Joe H. Morris, 2707 Ky. Ave., Paducah, Ky., Dec. 10: "Attendance continues to overflow our building. Chairs were used at both services yesterday. One was baptized and two transferred membership. Our new building will soon be ready. The roof is on, the glass in and the finishing begins. We pray for the day."

Frank Trayler, Chaplain, USAF, Boerne, Texas, Dec. 10: "Since last report one has placed membership at Boerne, and four Airmen have been baptized from Lackland Air Force Base. There were 190 present at 2:00 p.m. in Chapel No. 4 yesterday, and three Airmen went to Boerne and were baptized at the close of the evening worship. The Boerne church is four years old, and is making good progress for such a young congregation. Contract will be let this month for much needed improvements on the meeting house: installation of asphalt tile flooring, more pews, venetian blinds, blower type heater, good signs, new entrances from street, sidewalks, and parking lot."

Hogland-Bonneau Debate
J. W. Evans, Fort Smith, Arkansas: "Ward Hogland of Fort Smith, Ark, met Van Bonneau in debate on the classes and women teachers issue in Savannah, Ga., Nov.
20-22. Brother Hogland is rapidly becoming recognized as a most able and forceful defender of the faith in public discussion. His debate with Bonneau certainly added to such recognition. He chose what proved to be a most effective course in this debate, that is, the presentation of a minimum of vital and fundamental points of the issue and pressing these points uncomfortably upon his opponent and indelibly upon the audience. Brother Hogland convincingly showed that the "Antis" have caused the division by the "Must" of Bonneau's proposition. It was a good debate with good order prevailing throughout. Much good is expected to come of it. I had the pleasure of moderating for brother Hogland."

M. F. Manchester, Comanche, Texas: "The work here is doing well. Baptized a man last Lord's day. Three have identified themselves with the church here, and one to confess his sins. I would like to hold a mission meeting in North Carolina next summer. The church here will help support me in one. Write me if I am needed."
Cleon Lyles, Little Rock, Arkansas, Dec. 10: "We worshipped in our new building on Sixth at bard for the first time December 2. We had more people than we could seat, even using more than fifty extra chairs. Since the auditorium will comfortably seat 1250, we are sure more than 1300 were present for that first worship service. We continued through that week with preaching each night except Saturday. Nine were baptized, seven restored and one placed membership. It was my pleasure to preach in this first meeting, and our local song director, F. L. Sharp, directed the singing. This was the first time in nearly six years that our people have been able to worship together in one service. Needless to say it was a happy occasion. With this large air-conditioned auditorium, 36 classrooms, and plenty of office space, we feel that great days are ahead for this congregation. The building represents an investment of a little more than $300,000.00, two-thirds of which was paid during construction. We now have 978 members and our people are united and happy."

J. T. Marlin, Mayfield, Kentucky, Dec. 11: "Since last report three have been baptized and four have confessed wrongs. We are closing a very successful year for 1951. We have had remarkable increase in attendance in all services. We have had an increase in Bible school attendance every Sunday this year over previous years. Our prayer meeting attendance and contributions are setting all-time records. For the past several weeks our Sunday evening audiences have been running well above four hundred."

W. F. Mansur, 241 E. Arlight, Monterey Park, California, Dec. 10: "The work in Montebello continues to grow. Three were identified with this congregation yesterday. Peace and harmony prevail as we continue to make plans for a permanent meeting house."

Ward Hogland, 1914 Jenny Lind, Ft. Smith, Ark: "In September I began my fourth year with the Park Hill church. The church at Stephenville, Texas, just closed a meeting in which I preached. Ralph Starling is the local preacher and was a congenial worker during the meeting. On November 24 I closed a debate with Van Bonneau in Savannah, Georgia. In October I also met Ralph Gage who is also of the "anti" group. Four have been baptized and one restored here the last two weeks. If you desire a copy of the "Hogland-Kesner Debate" send one dollar to me at the above address."
