Reports

Gerald E, Evans, Clarement, California: "The Lord's body which for the past three years has been meeting at the American Legion Hall has now obtained facilities for the Lord's work and expansion of his kingdom in the northern part of the city of Pomona, California, The plan of the church from the beginning has been to establish in this city of near 100,000 the only congregation revering God's Word, adhering to the New Testament order, and standing opposed to the Innovations and liberalism of the day. To this divine goal we are dedicated: Invoking God's blessings upon our efforts and the prayers and encouragement of faithful brethren everywhere. When passing our way, please note our new address: 2200 North Orange Grove, Pomona, California."

One of the members owns half of a rest home and is the administrator. We are ready to go into Skill Care in the home and will need three LPN. If you know of anyone that would like to move to the Ozarks and would like to work in a Rest Home, we need them. If interested write or call: Neil Partee, Mountain View, Arkansas; Phone 269-3320".

New Building

On October 2, 1966, in Hobbs, New Mexico, a group of Christians met for the first time in their new building at 301 E. Clearfork. We are thankful to our Lord, after meeting in a school building for over three years, that the lot and building are both free of debt, with the exception of a very small personal loan from a few members. It is our purpose to stand for the truth in all things and we ask the prayers of all Christians. We invite any who come to Hobbs, New Mexico, to worship with us. If you need to call, Phone 397-1793."

Report From Overseas

Leslie Diestelkamp, U. C. I. , P. O. Box 4064, Ibadan, Nigeria. Oct. 1, 1966: "We have now been back in Nigeria for one month. Seven years ago we helped to start this gospel work in the Western and Mid-Western Regions of this country. Now there are about forty-two congregations. But today this nation is badly divided, and internal strife with accompanying bloodshed prevails. We have been disappointed to learn that many brethren who had been faithful have now made shipwreck of their faith. On the other hand, we have been thrilled and encouraged by the great fidelity and steadfastness of a great host of brethren. Turmoil and anxiety have reduced the opportunities somewhat, but the field here is still a very rich one in regard to souls that are hungering for truth. In other years my work here was almost altogether in preaching to the lost, but now the greater demand of both wisdom and conscience seems to be to train the native Christians so that they can teach the truth to their own people effectively (2 Tim.2:2). Our present address is listed above, but our residence will probably be from place to place, to enable me to teach a ' Development Course' at a number of cities throughout the country."
